Customer Reviews

★★★★★Yelp

“I would definitely recommend Alex. He was on time, professional, and completed a significant amount of work in a single day, including installing exterior electrical light fixtures, solar lights (22!), house numbers, hose reels, and repaired cedar siding that had been removed. Even while working outside in extreme heat, he was careful and precise, and the quality of his work was excellent. His pricing was very reasonable, and everything was completed as promised. I would gladly hire him again.”

Project overview

The screened porch had old screen material and aging retaining strips around multiple large openings. The goal was to refresh the enclosure without rebuilding the porch framing. The existing screen and the narrow wood strips holding it in place needed to be removed so the openings could be cleaned and prepared for new material.

The problem

The screened porch had aging mesh and retaining strips across multiple large openings, while the existing porch framing was intended to remain in place.

Work performed

The old screen mesh and retaining strips were removed section by section. Debris and loose material were cleaned from the porch openings before the new screen was installed. New retaining strips were purchased, prepared, and painted to match the existing white porch framing. The new screen mesh was then stretched and secured around the perimeter of each framed section using the new strips. Some portions of the porch were partially blocked by established climbing plants, so the work had to be completed carefully around the vegetation while still keeping the new screen aligned.

The result

The porch received a clean, consistent screened enclosure with new mesh and matching painted trim, while the existing porch structure and overall appearance were preserved.
